Who We Are

Walker Aggregates, a division of Walker Industries, supplies the stone, sand and gravel products required to build communities – our roads, houses, sidewalks, schools, hospitals and parks. The limestone we quarry here in the Niagara region is used locally. Area businesses and public sector customers like the municipal and provincial governments use it to build the infrastructure that allows communities to grow.

In recent years in Niagara, our materials have been used to build:

  • The Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts
  • The Gale Centre Arena
  • The Scotiabank Convention Centre
  • Highway 405
  • The Niagara Falls Airport

Did You Know?

Walker is the only quarry operator to win the Niagara Escarpment Achievement Award. We achieved this honour twice for good stewardship relating to our quarry rehabilitation and landscaping efforts.

Locations across Ontario

Walker operates four active quarries and two asphalt plants in the Niagara Region in addition to twenty six more pit and quarry sites in Simcoe, Grey-Bruce and Essex Counties.

Construction and Ready Mix Concrete

We participate in the Ontario road building industry through our subsidiary Walker Construction Ltd. (Formerly Harold Sutherland Construction in Owen Sound and Norjohn Contracting in Niagara). Offering  a range of services from road and parking lot construction and surface treatment to rehabilitation and commercial and industrial site development. We are also equipped with a state-of-the-art ready mix concrete plant. The plant is capable of providing consistent concrete year-round across the Grey-Bruce area.
